The Community Bulletin Board (CBB) is one way to put announcements on MCTV channels. The CBB can be used to inform viewers of standard information hours/days open, regular meeting times as well as announcing upcoming events concerts, special meetings, etc. Each announcement is on air from10 to 30 seconds several times a day.
Community Bulletin Board Announcements are not scheduled, they are in a kind of a digital slide carousel that is running all the time, they show on tv only when there is a break in the scheduled programs. A few announcements usually appear every hour, the next hour they will be different announcements usually.
The Community Bulletin Board on Channel 3 also runs for approximately 15 minutes 4 times daily- giving all the announcements a chance to be seen. The exact times are variable but the CBB generally is on between 8:00 9am, 11am-12pm, 5-6pm, and 11pm-12am
All CBB Announcements run on channel 3 and 65. Upcoming event announcements also show on channel 64.
While we cannot guarantee how often an announcement is shown each day, most announcements play 5-10 times a day on channel 3 and 65. Event announcements on channel 64 are shown minimum 8 times a day.
The basic announcement is a single slide with no voice over, however multiple slides (a short slide show) are possible as are voice over (audio) for slides. The CBB can also play short videos.
The basic announcement has essential information of Who, What, Where, When and who to contact for more information).
Announcements are most effective if on MCTV for at least two weeks. Up coming event announcements can run a maximum of one month. Standard announcement run until we are informed to pull off the CBB.
Announcements should come to MCTV at least a week before putting them on the CBB - MCTV needs time to prepare and/or upload announcements onto our playback equipment.
MCTV can prepare the announcements from supplied information or designed announcements can be submitted for a lower rate. Submitted announcements must follow our requirements to take advantage of lowest rate. MCTV gives training in announcement preparation to members.
MCTV can also air longer announcements but these have to be scheduled and have different rates.
Organizations can become Community Bulletin Board Club Members or Organizational Members and receive 25% to 35% discounts on announcements.

Specifications Graphic Announcements
Submit announcements as JPG, PNG or PDF files. PowerPoint files (but no animation)
are also fine, we can convert PowerPoint slides to a useable file for our CBB.
JPG, PNG or PDF files should be set up as 800 (wide) x 600 (tall) pixels.
Avoid white backgrounds and bright reds and oranges especially. All bright colors
tend to flare and make reading difficult.
Each page should not have more than 30 words as it is hard to read on TV. Include just the basics Who, What, Where, When. Also include contact info for questions.
Graphics images make slides more interesting usually. Graphics should be no bigger than 800 x 600 at 72dpi
Type should be at least 18 points, and larger is better.
Files can be emailed or brought in on a flash drive or cd
